I think @aaronpk has a way of getting geodata from the plane wifi

Yep I've been adding Gogo support to my GPS tracking app https://overland.p3k.app The new version isn't published in the app store yet, still a few UI kinks to work out, but it's pretty fun having great location data the whole flight now! example: https://aaronparecki.com/2019/02/04/20/

I’m starting to use more hybrid app development tools, namely NativeScript. They’re the closest we get to PWAs being on mobile devices since Apple’s really against making them a thing in their garden. Google’s reasoning is to probably get one code base to monitor everything. For developers, it’s definitely a lot easier to just write one code base for mobile environments.

Depending on how this flies, I might consider working on a Micropub application (tailored for Koype, of course). Should be fun!

Apple has support for PWAs now! I've been using an offline version of Teacup to track my food on planes. You'd never even know it was a web page really!
