It always annoys me when I hear a cover of "Take Five" that's in 4/4 time. I mean come on, that was the whole point.

  Unimaginable. As in, I really can't imagine it. And it's not just a novelty ... those lovely slippery long saxophone phrases work so well because they aren't trapped in four, and Joe Morello's incredible drumming likewise delights and holds our attention because it feels so natural in an unusual meter.
