About to get my first root canal this morning. Tell me it's not as bad as it sounds. I could barely handle a regular cleaning last week.

I had one done in China. Basically they pull the flesh and nerves out of the tooth a little bit at a time with no anesthetic.... err maybe that's just the way it is done in China.

Ask for nitrous. It will relax you.

I have had three. Seemed to happen when I was about your age. It's on par with a low level tooth ache that lasts few days to a week. Nothing Tylenol can't handle. The proceedure it'self isn't bad. My 9 year old handled one.

BTW, is some one picking you up to take you home? You'll probably be pretty loopy.
