    Dear OAuth spec folks: Why is redirect_uri required, if every impl forces you to define it in advance? Before you say "security", it's not.
    Aaron Parecki
    @coderoshi It's not, see: http://tools.ietf.org/html/draft-ietf-oauth-v2-25#section-4.1.1

    @aaronpk good to know... every impl I use requires it. Now I'm even more confused
    Aaron Parecki
    @coderoshi Looks like it was required in Draft 10 (http://tools.ietf.org/html/draft-ietf-oauth-v2-10#page-17) which is a common implementation in the wild.

    iTunes Connect doesn't report crash reports if "Too few reports have been submitted for a report to be shown." Anyone know the threshold?
    Aaron Parecki
    @jetsetter I think it's pretty low, but also give these guys a try, we've been having good luck with them: http://www.hockeyapp.net/

Hi, I'm Aaron Parecki, Director of Identity Standards at Okta, and co-founder of IndieWebCamp. I maintain oauth.net, write and consult about OAuth, and participate in the OAuth Working Group at the IETF. I also help people learn about video production and livestreaming. (detailed bio)

I've been tracking my location since 2008 and I wrote 100 songs in 100 days. I've spoken at conferences around the world about owning your data, OAuth, quantified self, and explained why R is a vowel. Read more.
