A thing I started doing: instead of recording my full workshops, I set a voice memo recorder on the podium, and when someone has a question, I press record, repeat the question, and then answer it. Now my recorder is full of Q&A that I can incorporate back into the presentation! -

If you've noticed https://OwnYourGram.com has been not working well lately, that's because Instagram is aggressively rate limiting certain requests.
I just updated it so that you can give it the URL of an individual photo and it will import it for you. Importing individual photos avoids a lot of the rate limiting issues so should work a lot better now.
If you've been missing some of your latest photos, feel free to log in and manually import them now! -

It took almost 4 hours, but I finally moved everything from Gogs to Gitea. The migration path was not entirely smooth due to a combination of things, but I'm reasonably confident it is actually working now. Hopefully nothing unexpected surfaces later when I've forgotten everything I've done today.

I had a couple hours in DC before my flight so I went to the International Spy Museum! It was a pretty fun collection of exhibits and random artifacts from the last couple hundred years of espionage history.

😱 Came home from a trip to a failed hard drive on one of my home servers. Time to put my backup system to the test!
💾 New drive is on its way, warranty return for the old drive is started.
☁️ Once the new drive arrives, I'll attempt to restore it from my local backup. With any luck, that'll work. Otherwise I'll have to get a drive mailed to me from Backblaze.
