To do what is right and to do what is in their hearts.
Integrity is doing that when it’s not convenient. Thank you 🙏🏾
I was annoyed that Mint Mobile doesn't give me logs on my data usage history so I hacked together a script that logs in and fetches my usage data from their site. It's just two API calls that return JSON so it was super easy. The login call returns a token, and there's another call that returns the used and remaining data in megabytes. I don't know why I didn't set this up years ago!
Understand that the call to abolish police is also a call to allocate adequate funds and resources to mental health services, livable wages, food security and all other societal factors which facilitate the ‘crimes’ you believe we need police protection from.
I worked with people with mental illness and violent offenders as a therapist for years. I was trained in de-escalation and in the proper way to physically restrain clients who were endangering themselves or others. I carried no weapons. And I was just a fucking therapist.
I was arrested on June 2nd, 2020 with around 100 other protesters in Los Angeles. While I was ziptied and facing the wall, two male officers joked behind me about my gender presentation: "Do you think it's a female? Are you sure?"
have y’all ever heard anyone say it’s “just one bad doctor”???? naw. they lose their licenses, they get sued, they get thrown in JAIL for medical malpractice. why? bc there’s no room for mistakes or error in a profession that you swear to protect and help the people, PERIOD
The pipeline problem does NOT exist. 10 yrs ago I was a CS undergrad getting told I wasn’t smart enough, while that same bitch ass school was hanging fliers for “girls in STEM” scholarships. Kiss my entire black ass if you think it’s not your own fault you can’t find black talent
People are saying that whitelist/blacklist are etymologically not discriminatory and have nothing to do with races. You're probably correct, but there are modern connotations, so the etymology doesn't matter.
Everyone in the tech industry has come across the terms "whitelist"(desirable) and "blacklist"(undesirable). We should start deprecating this terms for less racially charged language, like "safelist", "blocklist". Tech can be less exclusionary @venikunche@EmmaBostian@ugonna_t
