I have set up several small businesses with Wordpress. In addition to being a great blogging platform, it can be used as a more traditional-style website.

    Personal Bookmarks

Here is a collection of plugins to turn a Wordpress blog into a personal bookmarking site. You can see my version of this running at links.aaron.pk.

    Twenty Links

A theme designed to look like delicious and optimized for saving bookmarks. Theme by Stephanie Leary, and I updated it to use the custom bookmark post type. See a demo at links.aaron.pk.

    Bookmarks Post Type

    New Bookmark

A custom post type for storing bookmarks. Includes a custom field for storing the link URL.

    Download zip

    Delicious XML Importer

Import your Delicious XML file into WordPress as posts, links, or bookmarks (using the custom post type above). Based heavily on the WordPress XML importer, written by Guillermo Moreno, Stephanie Leary and updated to use the custom post type.

    Delicious XML Exporter

Export your bookmarks from delicious.com using my Delicious XML Importer.

    Wordpress IRC Notifications

    Wordpress IRC Settings

Receive notifications to an IRC channel when posts are published or comments are posted. Use this with the MediaWiki RecentChanges IRC Bot. Download the plugin from github.

Hi, I'm Aaron Parecki, Director of Identity Standards at Okta, and co-founder of IndieWebCamp. I maintain oauth.net, write and consult about OAuth, and participate in the OAuth Working Group at the IETF. I also help people learn about video production and livestreaming. (detailed bio)

I've been tracking my location since 2008 and I wrote 100 songs in 100 days. I've spoken at conferences around the world about owning your data, OAuth, quantified self, and explained why R is a vowel. Read more.
